Since we decided not to get a rental car on this trip, the 1st thing on the agenda Tuesday morning was to figure out the subway and get a metro card. A metro card lets us ride the subway as much as we wanted for a week without having to pay more money. And boy did we use it! It took a little getting used to, but by the end we had it figured out pretty good...we only messed up a few times and got on the wrong train, but hey that's pretty good! The subway was an amazing maze of tunnels, escalators, trains, and people that were several stories deep. We couldn't believe how much was below the surface of the streets...a whole city of subway trains and routes were down below...how deep does it really go? Clay was really timid about taking pictures on the subway...he wanted to blend in with the locals...but Laura was ready to flaunt her tourist self all over with selfies!!! This was quite the adventure!
