Lincoln Memorial

This was one of our favorite spots on the trip.  It was a reverent spot.  We spent time reading the Gettysburg address and Lincoln's 2nd inaugural speech that were etched into the stone walls.  It is neat to see the Nations Capital at one end of the National Mall and Lincoln Memorial at the other.  The view is beautiful.  We sat on the steps for quite a while.  We even came back in the early on our last morning in DC so we could come to the monument one last time in peace.
