Grand Central Station

How does one stumble into something as huge as Grand Central station??  It seems impossible, but that's exactly what we did!!  We were walking back to our hotel after dinner (2nd Indian Restaurant for the night...1st was $120 a plate...um no) and decided to cut through a random bldg that put us on the right street that we needed to be on.  And one thing we have learned about New York is...there are tunnels,stores and huge structures all underground that you can't see.... so we went into this bldg thinking it would just spit us out on the other side...not the case- another maze of underground shops.  As we weaved through the bldg and went down an escalator... waalaa...it opened up into Grand Central Station...what???   Yep what a pleasant surprise and a great way to end our first full day in New York!!  GCS is huge!!  We were blown away at the sheer size of this place.  We felt like little ants...the ceiling was so tall...cameras just don't do this place justice - because they can't.    And of course...its another movie association location...Captain America,  Avengers, Superman, 

Once we stepped outside and saw the grandeur of Grand Central Station's main entrance, we realize that our claim of stumbling upon it seems even harder to believe...but there are other random entrances from other streets and stores that aren't quite so obvious!!!
