Detric has been asking and asking to play soccer... so we signed him up. He played on a team that had 4 kids from our cul-de-sac and the coach was our neighbor Jake. Being his 1st year playing and being on a team with kids 2 years older than him - and he rocked it!! Go Detric - he can't wait until spring!
**Detric worked soooo hard- he wanted to learn soo bad. At one point we yelled "Protect the goal Detric!!" He looked at us a little funny, then ran over to the goal, put his hand on the side of the goal, and just stood there... what is he doing? It took us a moment to figure it out... but he was "protecting" the Goal...in the only way he knew how. Oh I love this little man!!
