Proud Priesthood Parents

A few days ago President Nelson announced that the time the youth will graduate from primary will no longer be based on their birthday, but rather they will be eligible to attend young men and young women and attend the temple starting Jan.1 of the year they turn 12!  This change also applies to other advancements in the priesthood...Teachers Quorum Jan 1 of the year they turn 14 and attend dances, and then Priests the year they turn 16 (but they still have to wait until 16th birthday to date...they didn't change that one!)  The same advancements apply to the young women!  Our family participated in the advancement this year with both Preston turning 12 in April and CJ turning 14 in March.  They were both ordained on January 1 to their new quorums.  Brayden, Becky, Max, and Dane came up and were there for the event!  Brother Crane was nice enough to come to our home and participate with us.  It was a neat special night for our whole family!  We now have 3 priesthood holders in our home.  We are so blessed.

There may have been some bonding laughter associated with the night!  It may have been caused by tippy toe accusations, height insecurities, hugs, love, and happiness.  I'm not going to confirm or deny anyone's height or use of tippy toes...but this much I do know... those smiles are definitely real.
