Camping with the Bees

Since Clay had to work on Labor Day, we took a Pre-Labor Day camping trip.  We had found a spot earlier in the summer that we loved that was near the BumbleBee camp area, but it was more secluded and right next to the river.  When we found it, we knew we needed to come back.  So when we decided to go camping, we knew just where we needed to go!!!  When we arrived, we were thrilled to find the end spot vacant and ready for us!!!  It was the perfect spot for our family.  We are loud - but no one was close enough to care; we were near the river so we could play, cool off, and enjoy the water; we had a huge spot with room enough to spread out - with our 2 tents, big beast truck, trailer, and with a motorcycle for everyone we are quite the crew! One thing we weren't counting on being with us were the bees... holy cow, the bees!  TONS AND TONS OF BEES... and not just your cute buzzing fuzzing bees...these were aggressive, biting, meat eating bees.  Luckily, there were these hanging traps, but when we first arrived they didn't seem to be attracting any bees... but then we discovered the secret of the Bees...they like MEAT, especially bacon!  We were amazed.  We dropped a piece of bacon from breakfast on the ground and it was instantly covered by a swarm of angry bees all trying to get a piece of it.  The whole thing was gone within an hour...meat eating bees... who knew??  What happened to the nice flower sucking bees?  We decided to put the bees love of bacon to the test.  We put a piece of cooked bacon inside each trap... wow, those bees couldn't enter those traps fast enough- they were fighting each other to get in!!!  SUCKERS!!  It was like the beacon of light from Wreck it Ralph that called the cybugs...it was magical.  Thanks to the bacon traps, the bee population of our camp spot became tolerable!
