Laura was feeling a little sorry for herself.. It was spring break and it's been raining all week... Laura hurt her foot.. and this just isn't what spring break is supposed to be like! Clay listened with patience and then said...well, Laura wrap up your foot and head out on an adventure...take the kids to Liberty Lake Park. When Laura first heard that, her first reaction was...yeah right. 5 kids, 1 mom, rain, mud, a hurt foot... that sounds awful and like a perfect recipe for disaster. Well, Clay headed off to work and left Laura with her thoughts and 5 kids. Well, guess what, we did it... Laura thought...what the heck, lets try it and see what happens... so we wrapped up Laura's hurt foot, put on some puddle boots (which Laura had to wear one of CJ's LARGE boots because her polka dot ones wouldn't fit over the wrapped foot!), grabbed all the umbrellas we could find, and headed off for an adventure. And an adventure we found! We had a great time splashing around in the mud puddles, finding a bridge we had never seen before, and discovering a hidden wooden playland under some bushes that was both neat, amazing, and a refuge from the rain and mud! Thanks Clayboy for urging us out of the house and helping us have an adventure today!
