Preston knew exactly how he wanted his 11th birthday! Breakfast in bed = rollos, bacon, juice, with kiwi and coolwhip. Lunch request was red velvet crepes from IHOP. and lastly...the cake - HE wanted to make his own birthday cake... a Black Panther made from cake ball batter! Well, he got 2 3/4 out of three requests... 1. we got the breakfast in bed perfect, 2. Preston nailed the caked...it looks awesome, and unfortunately 3. IHOP no longer serves red velvet crepes...they have taken them off the menu...bummer man. Preston was a good sport and got a nice sugary strawberry crepe deliciousness instead Hence the 3/4 score for IHOP lunch. Another little thing Laura learned about Preston today...Preston does NOT like attention drawn to him - AT ALL, he does not like people singing to him, does not like clapping, yelling, cheering, acknowledge him, making him stand out..no. Before they could even get out of the car to go into IHOP, Preston made Laura promise not that she would not tell anyone that it was his birthday. Laura kept her promise...it almost slipped out, but we made it! He even hugged her afterward and thanked her for keeping her promise.
Preston, Clay, CJ, and Matt Dracocardos went out to see Black Panther at the movie theater for Preston's birthday celebration. The boys had a great time - it was the perfect activity for this Black Panther theme birthday!
