Visiting with Santa, ginger bread houses, and crafts are a few favorite traditions. Visiting with Santa was a little more complicated than we thought....we initially went to Cabelas because last year we had such a great experience with no lines, free pictures, etc. Well, this year we were met with a huge line that wrapped around the store...and we just said um no. We spent our time looking at the fish and animals instead. Then we headed to walmart for a few random items. While shopping, it was announced that Santa had just arrived...so we went and there was no line - yipee that worked out for us!!! As far as our gingerbread house...it was a premade kit from walmart that did the trick this year, granted it definitely wasn't a Carol Coleman homemade house that we have had the last few years...but it worked..we might have to try and make our own next year...maybe.
Clay and Laura were also invited to a couple's only Ugly Christmas Sweater party at one of our new neighbor's house. It was fun to meet a few new faces and get to know more people on our street! Clay sported a Mr. T Christmas Tshirt with his v-neck sweater and Laura had a nice 80's style sweater. They sure were ugly.
