Skating into 8

She is 8!  This little lady is growing up quickly.  For her birthday she wanted an ice skate cake and ice skating with friends...I'm sensing she likes skating!  Aparri went ice skating for the first time in December and loved it so much she wanted to go again for her birthday!  She was able to bring 2 friends...Kate and Livvy.  The ice was super slick and everyone took a turn falling and picking themselves back up...but overall it was a fun day on the ice!

White Photo Shoot

When the kids are getting ready to be baptized, Laura takes them to the temple and does a photo shoot with them in their baptism clothes.  It was so fun to get Aparri all dressed up in white and go to the temple.  It was chilly and cold, but at least the sun was shining and we had a little break from the falling snow!

Remembering Grandma Smith

Family and friends gathered to celebrate this wonderful woman!  The lady who loved pink!  We all wore pink in honor of her!  She is a wonderful woman who we love and will miss.  We all know that Grandma had been waiting and wishing for this day to come for the last 20 years... and now her wish has come true and she is finally reunited with her Bryce,  We know that she is looking down and watching over us!  We love you funny Grandma (funny haha AND funny queer!)  We will miss you.

Road Trip for Laura

Clay couldn't get time off work for the funeral, so he stayed behind and helped hold down the fort   while Laura jumped in a car with Brayden and Beckyfor Grandma Smith's funeral.  We headed out bright and early, I mean dark and early 3am in Tri-Cities and headed for Utah.  Of course...January is still winter time...so Laura was still anxious about snow and driving conditions, but Becky assured Laura she would keep her safe!!!  (They joked around about having to drug Laura and throw her in the back seat if it got too bad...but luckily it never got to that point!  Just a little fog through the blue mountains...but again,  Heavenly Father watched over us and kept the roads clear when we were driving!!! Many prayers of gratitude were said! )  Brayden and Becky also introduced Laura to Zupas on their drive into UTah...yumm.. Laura is a huge fan!  I hope we get one of those in Washington soon...that place is good!

The first night we were in Utah, we had a sibling/cousins dinner at a Sushi restaurant in Alpine called Tsunami.

We also met with Jeremy and Megan at the BYU Wilk were we at yummy food (different for everyone - everyone had a different "must have Utah food" that they had to get while we were there... Laura had Indian from the Bombay house...of course!)
