Snow Buddies

Wheezy (Eloise Terry) and Erica are two peas in a pod! One day a week, the girls are with Laura and one day a week, the girls are with Sophie.  Laura got the snow day!!!  These two crack us up!

Mission Call

Now that mission calls now come electronically rather than snail mail, the turn around time is really fast!  Dad and Mom received their call via email!  So we had a group phone call so we could all be present for the opening of the call!  The Hords were physically  at Mom and Dad's house and the Ernst were on a phone too just not video, so unfortunately neither of them are pictured...but they were there!  Dad and Mom smith got called to Serve in the Las Vegas, Nevada mission!!  They report to the Provo MTC on December 17, 2018 (Detric's bday!)  I think they are very excited about going south to the warm weather!!

Buddy, Our Elf

Every year on the day after Thanksgiving, Buddy arrives.  He always brings so much joy and mischief into our home!  This year he brought chocolate advent calendars for the month of December, was found making friends with Barbie then holding her hostage, hanging out (literally) all around the house, and flying back to the North Pole in a C-130 on Christmas Eve.  Until next year Buddy...

Goodbye Rands...until next time

Ice Ice Baby

Trevor and Rhein were the only 2  from the Rands crew who were brave enough (or crazy enough... depending on how you look at it)  To run around the house barefoot in the fresh snow with Clay, Laura and CJ - its  a Ward family tradition to run around the house barefoot with the first snowfall of the year...and since we forgot to do it a few weeks ago, we made up for it and did it now!!

After we warmed our feet up a bit, we decided to cool them off again and go ice skating!! If you ever go ice skating with little kids...get a Bobby the Seal, its worth its weight in gold.. seriously...it saves your back and the kids are happy... win win!!    After we sufficiently wore out the kids and got them hungry, we ALL went to Red Robin - yep 10 kids and 4 adults... we had quite a wait...as you can see from the unhappy faces below, but it was worth it!  Yum Yum.

Festival of Trees

We headed to Coeur D'Alene for the parade and firework show.. and we were pleasantly surprised to find out the Festival of Trees was also going on.  Wow..what beautiful trees!  Definitely gets you into the holiday spirit.
